El laboratori sol ser el lloc en el qual es desenvolupa l'activitat científica. S'hi porten a terme experiències de manera controlada que ens permeten afirmar o negar les hipòtesis plantejades en l'observació d'un problema.

Vegem com és un laboratori per dins.

3.1. Instrumentació

En un laboratori s'utilitzen una gran quantitat d'instruments. En descriurem alguns perquè t'hi comencis a familiaritzar.

Ves al laboratori del teu centre. Selecciona cinc instruments de la imatge superior. Busca'ls i indica si es troben al centre, en quina quantitat i per a què s'utilitzen.

3.2. Normes de seguretat

Segur que a casa teva hi ha normes de comportament, igual que a l'institut. En un laboratori passa una cosa semblant, amb l'excepció que allà, a més, es manipulen productes perillosos.

Tots els laboratoris tenen unes normes de seguretat. Ara et mostrarem les normes més bàsiques que trobaràs en qualsevol laboratori.

Experimenta Els pictogrames de perillositat

Tots els productes químics porten etiquetes que ens indiquen el nivell de perillositat que comporten. Es diuen pictogrames de perillositat. Aquestes etiquetes apareixen en productes quotidians, com el lleixiu o l'amoníac.

Busca informació sobre el significat de cada pictograma i el perill que assenyala cadascun.
Busca a casa teva productes en què apareguin aquestes etiquetes. No tens per què trobar-les totes. Indica en quins productes les has trobat.
Identifica les actuacions que fa el protagonista del vídeo de l'apartat Ciència 2.0 amb cadascun dels pictogrames.

En el laboratori cal tenir en compte una sèrie de normes bàsiques de seguretat. Identifica a continuació totes aquelles actuacions o situacions que consideris de risc en el laboratori. Tria les respostes correctes..
