      2. Fases del proceso productivo

      Ya sabemos que la finalidad de cualquier empresa es obtener un beneficio, es decir, fabricar productos que el público necesita o quiere comprar (demanda), a fin de venderlos luego al máximo precio posible.

      También puede interesar la fabricación de productos más competitivos (baratos) que las empresas del sector (la competencia).

      Para ello, en muchos casos es necesario recurrir a tecnologías emergentes y claves, así como tener muy en cuenta los factores productivos (mano de obra barata, materia prima en lugares próximos y en abundancia, etc.).

      El proceso de fabricación de productos (bienes) consta de cinco fases, que van desde la concepción de una idea hasta el reciclado del producto fabricado.

      Estas fases son: estudio de mercado, desarrollo de productos, planificación, producción y venta y reciclado (Fig. 2.3).
